Associated RC12L3 - October 10th, 2006
Want it fast? Almost uncontrollable? Get yourself a 1/12 car!
Very straight forward car to build. I just don’t like “standard” screws and nuts. Why do they call them standard? The front and rear suspensions are very simple to build with just a couple of details needing some attention. It was my first Associated shock absorber with that foam inside.

I have all the Xray cars since the first was released. The first model (T1) was released just after I was able to drive for 5 minutes without crashing (amazing isn’t it?) and somehow I attached my skills improvement to the fact I was driving an Xray.

But after acting as turn marshall in one race I was amazed with the speed and grip of those cars. These guys gain 2 to 3 seconds to a good touring car. I was at the end of a long straight and I could almost bet that they would not turn. But they did…
I had tried one Associated RC10L (very old) with a hybrid front suspension, and the car was a nightmare to drive. After that experience I thought that those cars were very difficult to drive.
Yokomo MR4TC World Cup Edition - July 1st, 2001
A new kid on the block

I was wondering if I was a really bad driver or if the car was holding me back. The car was not the problem because a guy that wins a lot of races around here has a car just liker mine (HPI Pro 2 with all the goodies). But a friend of mine made me an offer I couldn’t refuse (no horse heads involved). He said that I could have an Yokomo MR4TC World Cup Replica for the price of… And I said Yes!!! I want one…
